Sinistar - 2.5 of them!

We recently picked up 3 Sinistar cabinets. Two of them are fairly complete dedicated Sinstar cabinets. The third is a Sinistar cabinet that has been converted to Rastan.

Mike has wanted this game for a long time. This was the first (only?) Game to scare him when he was a teenager. BEWARE COWARD!!! ROAR!!! I LIVE!!!  I HUNGER!!!

Sinistar #1: (Complete - In our collection)

This game was complete except for two items:

- The rubber piece that provides resistance and centering to the joystick

- The ROM board

When tested with another ROM board, the ROM board does not show any codes. It may not be getting power. All 3 power LEDs are lit, so all 3 voltages are present.

This game is in really nice shape and will be in our collection once the game is fixed. Since this one has a working monitor, pieces from #2 may be used to get this one working first.

Done:

• Replaced some 4116 RAMs

• Re-flowed the solder to the Power PCB

• Installed the ROM PCB from #2

• Replaced the monitor with one we had here (this one is nicer)

• Cleaned it up

Sinistar #2: (Traded)

This game is complete except for the missing ROM PCB and the broken "Spider" that centers the joystick. . The monitor has been replaced with the one from #1. Also, one of the voltages is not present from the power PCB (only 2 of the 3 LEDs light). This one is virtually identical to #1.

This game has been traded.

Sinistar #2.5 (sold):

This one has been converted to Rastan. The side art was "protected" by the Rastan side art. There is some glue to remove, but it looks to be in surprisingly good shape.  This cabinet is FOR SALE. This would be a great cabinet for anyone who wants a Sinistar restoration project.

We sold off the Rastan marquee, PCB, and bezel. We also removed the Rastan CPO from the game. Underneath was this beautiful Sinistar CPO.

That discoloration you see is the glue stuck to the CP. It rubs right off.
