Tempest Cocktail Table
Project
10/08/2002

5/5/01 - Started really working on this Tempest...
Removed the control panels so the 1P side could be repaired.
Started the process of reconstructing the control panel side using wood filler.

5/6/01 - more work done.
Removed the legs. Sanded, primed, and painted them and their hardware:

Removed the 3 leg levelers. These will be replaced later with 4 new ones.

More control panel rebuilding
A hole where a Tempest will be soon

The glass clips got stripped, primed, and painted

Control panels before cleaning...
Control panels after...

5/17/01:
Added the replacement end caps to the legs. This is how they looked without the end caps:

These are the old (left- broken) and the new end caps:

This is how they look when put on the table legs:

Next, we added new feet to the legs. These are actually nylon knobs, but they are the closest thing we can find locally that fit into these Atari mounting holes. We had also previously used them on our APB seat.

To be done:
Continue to rebuild the control panel
Sand the control panel
Reassemble the legs
Install the monitor and boards (on the shelf - tested and working)
Clean and reinstall the glass and clips
06/15/01

Finished project.
